The training offerred in our Mainstream Dog Training classes are suitable for all dogs over the age of 6 months.Classes are progressive from the Basic Beginners Class, through to the top Class 5.If your dog already has a basic level of training then, following a short assessment from one of our Instructors, it may be recommended to start at a level beyond Basic Beginners. All class levels are built towards potential achievement of awards for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme(KCGCDS), ranging from Bronze to Gold Awards. However, it is extremenly important that owners make training fun and spend a short time every day at home, repeating the exercises taught within the classes. Just 10 minutes per day will help to see your dog progress and every day become a step closer to the level of obedience you are looking to attain. You may contact Bill Baird (024 7637 3125) or Jackie Eaves (024 7631 5256) for further information regarding Mainstream Training Classes
An introductory talk explaining all about the club, its facilities, activities and the obedience training offerred, is provided on the first Sunday of every month at 10:00am. We willl also provide some tips to get you started. We strongly recommend that you attend this talk, without your dog, before starting class training - It’s also an excellent opportunity to sample hot food from our kitchen, and not have to share it with your dog!
